About Me

My photo
Jason asked me to dance for the very first time to one of my favorite songs, & as we sang along, I never imagined how he would later affect my life. We went our separate ways but God definitely had a plan for us because everywhere I went, there he was. We somehow knew the same people, loved the same things, & soon were inseparable. The day after our first date he took me to the cowboy church with him. I was impressed with this man! Gods plans sometimes are different than what we have pictured so when we found out we were pregnant, we were wondering why God had chose this path for us instead of giving us more time to enjoy each other as a young couple & do all the things that make parenting later in life a little easier. Apparently God knew we had it in us to be strong as a couple & as parents because as we prayed, we were reminded that this baby GIRL was a blessing & would give us more than we could've ever dreamed of having on our own. Tylee is her name & boy let me tell you, she's a wild one. She's got a heart as big as Texas, a smile that'll make anyone's day complete, & eyes brighter than the sun! We are happier than ever and we can't wait to see what the future holds for us!

In between classes...so here's an update!

Well I have meal manageament in 53 minutes so let's see how far I get with this post. Sorry if it's sort of rambling, but I know friends & family like to stay updated and I dont have time at the moment to make it perfect writing. I have about a million 15 page papers to write this semester so thats where perfection is going in the coming months!

Currently, our daughter is HUGE. And SMART. And learning SO MUCH every single day. She amazes me at what she understands when we speak to her and ask her to do something. She loves to climb...ESPECIALLY UP the slide at home, instead of climbing up the normal way on the stairs. Its a struggle because if I tell her no she freaks out and gets so upset. But then she does it at the park and since the slide there is smaller I've let her a few times and the inner motherly stuggle comes from asking myself, "Am I confusing her?" I want her to explore and figure things out and see that things arent meant to be done that way...such as climbing up the slide at the park while her friend goes down the slide. But I reassure myself I am doing a great job, I love my precious girl more than absolutely anything and every mother struggles with small things as such.

Tylee loves to play outside no matter what the temperature, which is hard since sometimes it's just too cold! She loves playing with the rocks in the drive way and putting them in her little bucket.

When shes playing in the rocks she bends over and looks between her legs upside down and I run up behind her and say, "Peek a boo!" And she thinks it's hilarious.

Yesterday, I glanced over at the pasture a ways from ours and thought I saw the horses. Well, she loves horses...and loves walking down there to "feed" them. (Picks one strand of grass haha) Well I started walking her over to what I thought were horses and turns out they were bulls. They had small horns, but I still dont like going up to animals who COULD potentially be harmful...so we didnt get very close and she didnt like that, since she is used to going right up to the fence. I somehow got her back into the house and quickly turned on a horse video on YouTube...she was glued. It was pretty interesting to watch her watch horses on the internet...in that moment I thought, "Oh no, she's seriously going to be the little girl who asks for a pony on her 8th birthday!" Haha. But I'm glad she likes animals. Horses and pigs are her favorite though!

Another funny story...Tylee has a shopping cart she received as a gift from her Aunt Becky & Ancle Mike and since she's the climber she is, she can get in that thing no problem and wants to be pushed around. Its pretty stinkin cute. We have tile in the kitchen and laundry area and it slides real easily and its the most fun thing to push her on the tile and listen to her laugh. Those are definitely the best moments, when she's laughing. The other day her friend was over at our house (yes, they seriously are FRIENDS - they cant separate at the end of the day at school now apparently!) ...as I was saying, Keslynn was at our house and Tylee got in the cart and Keslynn wanted in too...which wouldnt work unless they were on top of each other. So I sat Kes on Ty's lap because Tylee is MUCH bigger than Kes and Ty just giggled away and put her arms around Kes real tight and they just thought it was the cutest thing.

Ok, I could go on and on about Tylee, but I want to add a few other things in this post before I head to class.....

JASON PROPOSED!!! As most probably know, (not sure who doesnt haha) Jason asked me to be his wife on December 22, 2011. I of course said YES! We were leaving to head to Houston that morning so we decided to do our own famil Christmas before we left. I had to wake Tylee up (on the ONE day we want her to wake early of course!) and she opened her gifts, mainly consistling of Dora gifts...a couch, books, ball pit...Jason opened his gifts, and I opened my hunting bibs & jacket!! Surprise, surprise! Haha. So we finished that and started getting bags by the door to leave. I looked over and saw stockings! I forgot about those. Well the night before I had told Jason how sometimes being the momma in the family is hard because I absolutely love stockings and when I put everything in Ty and J's stockings, I had nothing to put in my own...which I was halfway joking when I told him that because I dont truely care that much, I just LOVE seeing them excited and happy. I love gift giving and making people I love happy. So we made our way to the stockings. Jason opened his stocking, Tylee opened hers. Tylee had a Dora book in her stocking and took it to Jason to read to her on the floor in his lap. They sat and read and Jason muttered, "Whats in Momma's stocking?" I kinda of ignored this because I figured he was making fun and I was like oh hush mean-o! :) He waited...when I didnt go to my stocking he repeated it, "What's in Momma's stocking?" So I said, "Ok ok guys, lets see what Momma has" - as I look in my stocking my heart kinda does a butterfly effect and I whip out the little black box..no way..this is a trick...its just a necklace...right? I open it and BAM-the most beautiful amazing ring we had picked out months before, in my hands. I looked at him, (a little teary eyed...awee) and he said, "Will you marry me?" Thats the moment I tackled my child and fiance...hahaha. His next words were, "Dont kick her!" Hahahaha. I handed him the box and he put the ring on my finger. It was the perfect proposal for our little family moment together and I'm glad it was us three in our special time before we left to see family.

We took some photos later, here are a few!

And then a few days later had photos done by Abbie in Johnson City. I wasnt expecting to use these for engagement photos...until I saw them! :) It was just random and worked out perfectly! Thanks Abbie!!

I am the happiest girl in the world. I am taking 15 hours this semeser...2 writing intensive, 1 online and another with a lab, and the other is a regular class. The classes: Meal Management, Research Methods in Human Sciences, Consumer Issues & Decision Making, Content Area Reading, and Lifespan of the Family. I will DEFINITELY have my hands full this semester. DEFINITELY no time for a job.

Jason starts DAY SHIFT February 6th! COUNTDOWN: 2 WEEKS & 4 DAYS!!!!! Praise God!!! I can not explain how excited I am to be able to have him at the dinner table with Tylee and I again, as well as going to sleep beside him at night!

We are in the process of purchasing our first real house - it's been a very long process indeed and I cant wait until God shows us exactly where he wants us. We;ve fallen madly in love with one house, and currently the mortgage company that owns it is doing an inspection so that they will have a better idea of why we offered so much lower than they are asking for the house. Pray it works out!

I will come back later when I have some time and add more details, but for now, I have to get to class! Have an absolute wonderful day everyone!

Xoxoxo,
Miranda
