"Momma!"

So I know all she does is babble so far but I DEFINITELY heard "momma!" when we were doing a mini photo shoot outside. I've felt crafty and creative all day so I was like omgsh, she has 3 tutus, we have to take pictures! :) Taking them inside didnt go well because my camera is HORRIBLE (cant wait to get a new one) & when we went outside where it kind of works better she got the hiccups and wasnt in a good mood because of that. But I got one good one, even though shes in the middle of a not so good face, I edited it with white and I love it!

Other than that...today my infant parenting class was canceled because the insructor was sick, sad day. So we went and got a few things from HEB that we ran out of and didnt do much else. I cant wait for school to start, but I'm also kind of dreading it. I was counting on headstart to take Tylee when school started but they dont know the status of my application yet so Im having to look towards other options like friends and my mom possibly coming to stay with her while Im in class. I would hate for her to have to come all the way up here just for 2 hours every morning but I guess we may have to do that once my phi mu sister finds out her clinical schedule.

I also had to deal with LOVELY state of texas workers today reguarding Tylee's birth certificate. Turns out to add Jason means me being rudely spoken to by 3 people after being on hold for forever, $50 in fees, and a trip to Ft. Worth...AGAIN...uh, I thought we were done with this? And I didnt agree to this..I didnt ask for this whatsoever, yet IM the one having to deal with it. That REALLY "grinds my gears" as Pete Griffin would say, haha. (Gotta laugh through this somehow right?)

But Im over it...I get to spend my days with the most amazing girl in the world, so I think Im the lucky one (: Oh no, sounds like its going to rain some more tonight, no bueno. Well, gotta run, the little peanut doesnt stay quiet for long these days (: Although one more thing...she slept for 5 hours last night...wooo we loved our sleep time as well!

Daddy buys a boat!

Well it turns out Im not as good as keeping up with a blog as I thought. Guess it has alot to do with being a mother to a 2 month old? Haha. Since my last post, a few things have happened in our little lives. Jason bought a boat and we went out on it for the first time when his sister came to visit. No Tylee did not go on the boat, (just took a few pics on it with daddy lol) Abbie, Shelby & I took turns watching Tylee at Linda's lake house while the other went on the boat with Jason. Its nothing new and fancy but its his little project and he's so excited. Im excited for him too. It'll give him something to do with Brandon since he moved out and into his new apt with his wife :) Which by the way we went over for dinner and their apartment is very cute :) We also finished the long process of some personal parental things we had to attend to. Indeed it was one of the hardest things Ive ever had to deal with and go through but I knew the outcome would be worth it in the end, of course. I love each of our families and Im thankful for the support system that God has given us! My princess Tylee is doing wonderfully! She is 8 weeks & 2 days old and is so strong! Holding her head up like a champ! Although not all the way on her own, but still very good! We are so madly in love with her its crazy! She is growing WAY too fast! The next few weeks Im so excited about as well. Going to my moms family reunion at the end of the month as well as seeing my dad while Im there. And going out of state soon after to see more family :) Not saying who but it shall be very exciting! So many adventures Tylee wont remember :/ Lol. A Daddy's Love

Jason Lee, this post is dedicated to him. One of the most amazing men Ive ever met in my life. Loving, caring, protective, so smart, hardworking, amazing daddy. I have so much respect for him and I couldnt ask for more. He's absolutely wonderful and I love him more than Ive ever loved anyone in my life.

With this little angel. Anyone who hasnt taken the time to get to know her is absolutely crazy. She was a surprise but she was a surprise from God, she's such a miracle, and I am so blessed she is in our life.

Catching up

Well since our little peanut has been here for just about 4 weeks now, I wanted to post some pictures of her up until this point :) We are so proud.

Caution: New momma learning in progress!

It has been quite an experience, being a new mom for 26 days now. I think I got alot of preparation for the being awake part when I had to take a lovely stroll to the restroom (ok, ok like 5 steps) every hour; BUT, that didnt include trying to get a wide awake baby to nurse & then have her just play with your breasts instead of eating haha. But I'm slowly (no really..SLOWLY) learning to adjust and figure out what works, what doesnt, and how to ignore all the pressure & advice people lay upon you. I know some people have "horrible" experiences and some people have "perfect overwhelmingly joyful" experiences...but guess what? Not everyone is the same, IMAGINE THAT? So yes it gets frustrating but several people have let me in on a little secret: Its OUR baby, meaning Jason & I, and we can choose to do whatever works best for us & raise her how WE see fit. So that helps me get through the days if I just keep that in mind.

So today Tylee had her first real check up. Which was after our parenting class, lots of running around! After driving 45 minutes to get to this place on the complete opposite side of the town we were going to, filling out paperwork, (2 pages of medical history that she doesnt have, haha) & getting into the room, I was so glad to find that I really like the pediatrition :) Thank goodness. Tylee was born at 7 pounds, 15 ounces and is now 9 pounds, 5 ounces--TERRIFIC! She's grown only an inch but thats good too! And when they had to have her undress she hardly fussed! I was so proud! And that report: She's perfect! :) What every mother prays to hear, I am so thankful.

So we got home right before Jason and my dishes weren't done, laundry wasnt folded and things were still scattered everywhere. Thankfully she was still asleep from the car ride so I put her carseat on the wonderful swing that has that handy feature & got to it! Dishes: check! One basket of clothes folded: check! Clutter gone: check! Sadly Tylee's big girl crib is full of her clean laundry - good thing she's only 3 weeks & sleeps w/ us or in her bassinet! Now she's awake & eating (yes breastfeeding, calm down folks! I'm chicken peckin on this keyboard with one hand!) Yet after all that I havent planned dinner. Oh well, those boys dont ever go hungry lol.
